About Dr. Lupton

Dr. Lupton is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He graduated from Wake Forest University and received his Medical Degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed his dermatology residency at University Hospitals of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Since 1990, he has been in private practice in Greensboro. Dr. Lupton is married to Barbara and they have two daughters, Sarah and Laura. He enjoys sailing, sports cars and cycling.

Dena Anderson, PA-C, a Physician Assistant, joined our practice in 2008.  She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. She graduated from the University of New Brunswick, Bowman Gray School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program at Wake Forest University and the University of Nebraska with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Dena has worked as a PA since 1997 and in dermatology since 2004.  She is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.


Jan Johnsen, PA-C, joined our practice in 2002 and now works part time.  A native of Minnesota and a graduate of Colorado State University, she completed the Physician Assistant Program at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1997. She has worked as a PA in Dermatology for over 8 years.  She is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
